Apply

The 2026-27 Dean’s Research Scholars application is open as of January 12, 2026. It will remain open until the end of the business day on February 2, 2026. The application for the 2026-27 cohort will open in January 2026 for interested students.

Applicants will be asked to complete a survey outlining their academic standing, research experience, and their interest in the Dean’s Research Scholars. Students will be asked to submit a CV or resume that outlines their research experience. If you do not have your CV or resume completed when you apply, please send a Word document or PDF of the CV to Melody Vincke (draeger3@msu.edu).

The application will reset if you do not select "Submit" before closing the application page. Only completed applications will be considered for selection. If you have questions on your application completion status, please contact Melody Vincke (draeger3@msu.edu).

DRSs serve for one entire academic year. Graduation dates must be at least one full academic year from the current semester.
